  You can buy a new spa from China for $2000-3000 but you better believe, you get what you pay for.
   
  WHY IS A used 5 year old American Made SPA BETTER THAN A NEW Chinese SPA?

  
  There a many many reasons that I could spend hours going into but in a nutshell here are the top reasons that come to mind.....
   
  1.THE SHELL: High Quality Lucite Acrylic costs manufacturers $1150 per A Quality sheet (10 year warranty) or $800 per B Quality sheet (5 year warranty) and $300 per C Quality sheet. C Quality sheets have no warranty. How can a manufacturer use C Quality sheets and still give a 10 year warranty on the shell? Easy - all they have to do is deny the claim due to an exclusion listed under the warranty. No Way? YES - we see almost 100% of all acrylic claims denied - except by a handful of Manufacturers.  There are over 100 manufacturers and we provide service and warranty support for 65. Based on the latest stats, there were less than 100,000 hot tubs sold last year nationwide. Much less this year. Don't believe the line they are selling bulk and getting a better price.
   
  2. THE EXTERIOR: Exterior Skirting and Framework: Many spa manufacturers are using untreated 3/4" (1x3's) wood to support the nearly 4000 pound spa (When filled with water). That works fine as long as you leave the spa where it is. What about when you move it in 3-5 years .... after the thin wood has time to rot because it isn't treated .. or even painted? I have seen too many cheaply made spas come apart and useless in 5 years. Count on $2000 to rebuild the structure. Spend it now or spend it later.
   
  3. THE JETS : You can purchase cheap Chinese jets for $1-$3 .... for shiny plastic or the manufacturer can spend as much as $160 on just one high quality jet. Based on a recent poll, the average money spent on a top of the line spa with high quality roto jets is nearly $40 each! If they are selling a new hot tub with 50 jets for $3000 - what quality jet do you think it has?
   
  4. THE ELECTRONICS or Components - A full setup with motor and blower connected to a microprocessor solid stated controller digital system can be purchased as cheap as $100 ... FROM CHINA or as much as $5130 for the highest quality AMERICAN made units. The average component investment by a high quality spa manufacturer is $3100. Is there a Difference? Absolutely! Companies take pride in what they make, when they feel confident their product is well built and going to last a long time, they provide a long warranty. Most parts come from China with a 90 day warranty. The average High end American Warranty? 5 Years. The finest chinese spa we could find has a 12 month warranty compared to 10 by the finest US Made company. This speaks volumes about the quality and value of the parts that make up the spa. Remember the saying - The whole is only as strong as the weakest link? It couldn't be more true. If you skimp now, you will be paying us later. Ask yourself what type of parts are in a $3000 spa?

   

  5. THE SALE ENVIRONMENT: Have you ever thought ... they already tried a retail store approach but failed because their spas are inferior when you feel them? If they only sell it by pictures the Internet based spas are cheaper because they are online and don't have retail stores. This is true to some extent but just barely. The manufacturers are making more profit instead of sharing it with a retail store (a local store that hires employees and spends money in your local economy.) So if you save $500 on an apples to apples - is that Worth it? Absolutely not - if you care about your neighbor and your local town. Absolutely not- if you ever have a problem and need advice or them to come out and give advice for free. Unless of course you are not above manipulating them into giving that to you free even though you didn't buy from them. Or you can spend the amount you saved by calling us and having us come out a few times. We do not work on Chinese spas for many reasons from parts not being interchangeable to the fact that we have never had a Chinese manufacturer we worked for, pay the labor charges they promised to pay.

   

  6. Have you forgotten the most important part? Buy American from a local company because you are American and you want to help your neighbor.
